Mr. Haber has been a practicing criminal
defense attorney since his admission into the Florida Bar in 1991.
In addition to his State Court practice, Mr. Haber also practices in
Federal Court, having been admitted into the Federal Bar for the Southern District of
Florida and having been granted pro haec vice admission into the
Federal Bars for the Middle District of Florida and for the Eastern District of New
York. Mr. Haber has appeared as counsel of record in more than one
thousand (1,000) cases which include a variety of felonies, misdemeanors,
infractions and ordinance violations in both State and Federal
Court.
Mr. Haber earned his Bachelor of Arts
degree from the University of
South Florida, at Tampa, Florida, in 1988 where he majored in
Criminology and minored in Philosophy. During his college education Mr.
Haber did volunteer work at Hillsborough Correctional State Prison, served
as an intern for the Honorable Harry Coe and worked as an apprentice for
Rick Spector & Associates, private investigators.
Mr. Haber earned his Juris Doctorate from
Nova Southeastern
University, at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, in 1991 and focused his
studies in the area of criminal law. During his graduate education Mr.
Haber served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ursula Ungaro-Benages (then
a State Circuit Court Judge, now a United States District Court Judge) and
served as a Certified Legal Intern for the Miami-Dade County State
Attorney's Office (then under the auspices of Former United States
Attorney General Janet Reno).
Mr. Haber was honored in the 2006 and 2007 Edition of the South
Florida Legal Guide as a top "Up and Coming" South Florida lawyer in
the area of criminal defense practice.
Mr. Haber was born in Albany, New York on
September 10th, 1965 and resides in North Miami in Miami-Dade
County, Florida with his wife Portia, their son Aiden and their cat
Killer.
